Why AirWorks
Plumbing That Fits the Way Your Home Actually Works
Plumbing rarely happens in isolation. A water heater affects comfort, air quality can overlap with humidity, and small leaks can turn into bigger damage fast. AirWorks helps you look at the whole home so the recommendation makes sense.
Same-day and emergency options when available
Water heater, fixture, drain, filtration, and leak support
Financing options through GoodLeap for larger projects

Water Treatment, Honestly
Which Water Zone Is Your Home In?
Ventura County isn't one water story — it splits into distinct zones, and the honest recommendation changes with your address. Some companies pitch the same softener everywhere; AirWorks tests your actual tap and tells you what your zone genuinely needs, even when the answer is "not a softener."
Ventura, Oxnard, and Port Hueneme run genuinely hard to very hard water — Ventura's own city reports average 24–28 grains per gallon, and Oxnard's reporting runs roughly 12–24 gpg depending on the source blend. Scale on fixtures, short water heater life, dry skin and hair: the classic case is real here, and a properly sized water softener is the fix. Prefer no salt? Whole-house filtration handles chlorine, sediment, and taste without a brine system.
Camarillo's mineral problem is real enough that the City built the North Pleasant Valley Desalter — a reverse-osmosis plant delivering water since January 2023 — to treat it. But supply varies block by block across several providers (City wells, Pleasant Valley Mutual's groundwater, Camrosa's well blend), and Santa Rosa Valley, Las Posas Estates, and Somis parcels on private wells can't be generalized at all. Here we test at your tap before recommending anything. On septic? We fully service everything inside the house and plan drain-side work septic-first — the septic system itself we refer to trusted specialists.
Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Moorpark, and the Westlake corridor run on imported state water — hardness only up to about 5.2 grains per gallon per Ventura County Public Works, a level their guidance says generally doesn't require softening. What actually helps here: whole-home filtration for chlorine and taste, and under-sink reverse osmosis for drinking-water confidence. We'll tell you straight if a softener would be wasted money.
Not sure which zone you're in? Book a visit or call — a hardness test at your tap takes minutes and settles it.
