Straight Answers Before You Apply
Does the AirWorks Academy cost anything?
There's no tuition to enroll — AirWorks invests an estimated $5,000 in each trainee's program. Per the enrollment agreement, a prorated portion is repaid only if you voluntarily leave AirWorks within 6 months of completing the program; stay 6 months or longer and you owe nothing.
How long is the AirWorks Academy program?
Six weeks of structured, hands-on training at the Academy's Ventura County training facilities — 18 curriculum days covering HVAC foundations, core systems, electrical, gas combustion, refrigerant handling, diagnostics, field software, and customer care, finishing with a final exam.
Do I need experience to join the Academy?
No HVAC experience is required. The program starts at the foundations — the refrigeration cycle, tools, electrical basics — and builds to advanced troubleshooting. Bring a valid California driver's license, physical readiness for the trade, and a strong work ethic.
