AirWorks Solutions is hiring an HVAC System Designer to engineer right-sized, efficient heating and cooling systems — load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork design — so every system our team installs performs the way it should from day one.
What you'll do
- Perform Manual J load calculations and Manual D/S duct and equipment sizing
- Select equipment and design systems to spec — including 2026 Title 24 heat pump conversions
- Produce clear scopes, layouts, and material lists for the install team
- Coordinate permits, HERS testing, and rebate/utility documentation
- Partner with sales and install crews so the design fits the home and the budget
What you'll bring
- HVAC design experience (residential and/or light commercial)
- Proficiency with load-calc and duct-design tools
- Strong understanding of California energy code (Title 24) a plus
- Detail-oriented — your plans become someone's install
